Bulgaria–Turkey IPA Cross-Border Programme

ANNOUNCEMENT: The 2nd Call for proposals under Bulgaria-Turkey IPA Cross-border Programme (CCI number: 2007CB16IPO008) will be officially announced within August, 2011.

General Directorate “Territorial Cooperation Management”, Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works, Republic of Bulgaria (Managing Authority), Ministry for EU Affairs, Republic of Turkey (National Authority) and Joint Technical Secretariat of the Programme are preparing to launch the 2nd Call for Proposals under the Bulgaria-Turkey IPA Cross-border Programme. The 2nd Call for proposals will be officially announced within August, 2011.

According to the time schedule, the duration of the second Call for proposals will be approximately 3 months from the date of the official announcement.

Eligible applicants under second Call for proposals will be local, regional or national authorities, national and regional agencies, nature park administrations, cultural, educational and health care institutions, community centers, regional employment agencies, non-governmental and business organizations, Euro-regions etc. Every project will have to include at least one partner from each side of the border region. The eligible cross-border co-operation area will again include districts of Bourgas, Yambol and Haskovo on the Bulgarian side and provinces of Edirne and Kırklareli on the Turkish side.

The potential applicants will have possibility to apply under the following priority areas - Sustainable Social & Economic Development (Priority Axis 1) and Improvement the Quality of Life (Priority Axis 2) for two types of measures - soft and investment. 

It is strongly recommendable all potential applicants, who have an intention to develop and submit investment projects, to start preparation of detailed working designs, bill of quantities and other documents related to the investment, in order to have sufficient time for project preparation.

It is advisable for the applicants who are planning to submit project proposals under the 2nd Call for proposals to start working on their project designs, being aware that there will be a new type of the application form and different annexes.

Info-days for the potential beneficiaries will be organized in the eligible area of the Programme following the launch of the call. It is strongly recommended to follow the websites of the Programme and of the National Authority.
