| Description: |
Taking into consideration the main principal for cohesion and balanced development, the current project can be considered as a measure to overcome and prevent the negative demographic tendencies of the targeted regions and investment in their human capital as an engine of the social and economic revival. The measures for improving the social services provided by the municipalities (development of infrastructure and joint strategy) aims to increase their attractiveness as a place to live and to raise kids. The improved infrastructure (including sport facilities) aims to develop the sport culture of the children in their earliest ages and therefore to contribute improving the health indices of the population in a long term. The objectives for integration of the regions are targeted mainly through the publicity and information measures (in particular the events for opening the Gardens of Friendship, which is promoting the informal relations between the people in both municipalities). |
