On October 14, 2009 in Haskovo and on October 19, 2009 in Edirne two information days for potential beneficiaries of the First Call for proposals were held under the IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme between Bulgaria and Turkey. Events were attended by 226 participants in both partner countries, where they had an opportunity to receive useful information on the possibilities of the program and application requirements for the First Call for proposals.
A Partnership Forum was held on October 20, 2009 in Edirne, which was attended by 130 representatives from Republic of Bulgaria and Turkey. The forum was aimed at building partnerships in the cross-border region; in addition the following topics have been discussed: the principle of the lead partner, partner selection, partnership development and a partnership agreement.
Two special training sessions were organized for potential beneficiaries; conducted on 4-6 November, 2009 in Yambol on “Development and planning project - filling the application form" and the following on 23-24 November, 2009 in Burgas on “Project Implementation under Bulgaria-Turkey IPA Cross-border Programme”. These trainings were attended by 140 potential beneficiaries representing their institutions. The information campaign was carried out within a project BG 2006/018-385.01.04.01- "Technical Assistance Program for future cross-border cooperation between Bulgaria and Turkey," co-financed by Phare.
