The project aims to promote the natural, historical and cultural heritage in the target regions. This will to a significant extent awake the environmental consciousness of both, the population in the border area as well as the potential tourists. Within the process of project implementation, the inefficient current cooperation in management of natural resources and the coordination for environmental protection purposes is being improved. Furthermore, the concept of “green corridors” for developing sustainable mobility, quick, easy and safe access to natural sites, as well as connecting the urbanized parts of the cities with the naturally significant territory. The concept presents an innovative method for sustainable transport in order to preserve the air quality, public health, and the protected areas in a coordinated and sustainable fashion. |
