Pehlivanköy where our school is located is a small town of Kırklareli. The population is 1650 and Ergene River flows through here. Pehlivanköy's most famous touristic feature is the fair held in September. It is the oldest fair in Turkey orginizing for 110 years.
Our school is the only high school in Pehlivanköy. We have 14 teachers and 37 students. Our school started education in 1977. The total area of the school is 21 thousand square meters. The area of the school building is 780 square meters. Our school has a large garden and is one of the greenest places of Pehlivanköy. There are generally 10 classrooms, 1 gymnasium, 1 library, 1 multipurpose hall, 1 teacher room, 3 administrative rooms, 1 computer laboratory and 1 science laboratory in our school. All our classes have a smart board. The facilities of our school are very good, but the number of students is small. There are 3 students per teacher. Our goal is to provide our students with different perspectives and a broad vision and to continue university education after high school. We want our students to be aware of that they have some responsibilities for society and for themselves and to keep and to love and life, nature, environment, plants, animals, people etc.
